    On March, 13, 2014 Donetsk was shocked by the vandalism that was not prevented by the local authorities in the heart of the city – on Lenin Square. A young Ukrainian patriot Dmytro Chernyavsky was killed in Postysheva street. He celebrated his 22nd birthday on March, 5.
    Dmytro was the only child in the family and was killed just because he went to the central square to protect women, children, elderly people, who were patriots like you and spoke up for the peaceful and united Ukraine and against rabid extremists, separatists and political tourists from the neighbouring country.

    He was atrociously tortured and murdered. Numerous wounds on the body show Volodymyr’s unbroken spirit. Unfortunately, his family has lost their defender and supporter.

    The 24-year-old Yevhen Blyznyuk was buried in the Town of Shakhtyorsk, Donetsk region.

    “He was a medical volunteer at rallies for the united Ukraine. Zhenya had neutral views and was tolerant to those who supported Russia. But he suffered much during the peace rally on March, 13 in Donetsk. That day pro-Russian activists killed the 22-year-old member of “Svoboda” Dmytro Chernyavsky and beat savagely other Ukrainian patriots. Zhenya pulled the wounded out of the mess without any protective equipment and got hurt, too. He told me then: “Don’t be scared, let’s go, I will protect you”. He called everybody to go to a rally and state the opinion while I discouraged from doing it”, says Lyubov Rakovitsa, a Donetsk citizen.

    Zhenya participated in all Donetsk rallies for the united Ukraine and risked his life not once, pulling people out of massacres and giving them medical aid. It is so sad that people like Yevhen pass away. May he resr in peace.
